Other positive news come with the improvements in Vista 3.07: – no more certificate hold-up when starting Vista. – compliance with FireFox 1.5 for PC and Safari 2 for Mac, (but Mozilla 1.6 and Java 1.4.1 are no longer supported). – no more imposed password change during students first entry. This will take away one cause for confusion. However we suggest that you ask your students to change password frequently. More details on the other improvements of the upgrade can be found with the UN & PW ‚vista‘ in our page: http://www.edutech.ch/vista/priv/docsdk/. Look for ‚Release notes‘. Concerning Internet Explorer 7 we have been told that WebCT-Blackboard has not found any ‚issue‘ for using it with our Vista 3.07, but the official endorsement will only come after more testing. Blackboard support is in the meantime hard working to find a solution to the remaining assessment problem that prevented some of you to edit an existing assessment. However I might be able to help you with a workaround (that is to copy your course by means of creating and restoring a backup!). If you need to enroll all students from one course into another course you now find a rapid solution in a message in the Administrator Forum: http://www.edutech.ch/forum/viewtopic.php?t=392 With my best wishes for this semester Yours sincerely Andreas Röllinghoff

This week the edutech-support team will attend a meeting with colleagues from Blackboard in Germany, Thursday and Friday, so our usual immediate response to your questions and call for help might take a bit longer during that period. To make sure you get a response in the following 24 hours please mail us. Best wishes Andreas
